Apartment in the center of Ljubljana (+ caravan)
Hello, I'm a new Intervac user, so far I've changed my apartment twice: Tuscany and Austria.
The apartment is modest but very warm and homey and can accommodate 2 to 4 people ( 1 bedroom, 1 food styling work room/studio with a pull out bed that can sleep 2 people, living room
and kitchen and bathroom). There is also a small cozy balcony.
I also have a caravan that you can rent for a vacation in nature. (I am attaching photos of the caravan trailer in the hills and by the sea )
Ljubljana is definitely one of the hot tourist destinations since it is such an interesting and cosmopolitan place with a lot of old town character and charm, designated pedestrian areas, historic and lively old part of the town by the river Ljubljanica under a beautiful restored castle on top of the hill. Old part of the town and the center of town are full of great restaurants and coffee/pastry shops and bars. Ljubljana is located in the center of the county and is a perfect starting point for exploring the rest of the country - within less than an hour you can be by the sea or high in the Alps.
From Ljubljana to Slovenian coast ( Koper, Piran or Portoroz all within one hour drive), beautiful Bled, called Jewel of Europe with a church on the island in the middle of the lake is 35 minute car ride, Zagreb in neighboring Croatia is 1 hour and 45 minutes, Venice in Italy - 2 hours 40 minutes, Trieste Italy - 1 hour, Vienna in Austria 4 hour drive.
Country is full of surprising treasures like beautiful unspoiled nature, beautiful destinations at seaside or in the Alps, hills covered with wine grapes, lakes, thermal spas, beautiful small quaint old towns - all within a day trip and short car ride from Ljubljana. The food is excellent, people are friendly and welcoming, life is safe and charming. sLOVEnia is
a beautiful wide world within a very small country.
