Wir wohnen in der Südwest-Schweiz, mitten in den Alpen, im Rhonetal.
Die Autobahn führt bis fast an die Türen der Stadt Siders. Der Fremdenverkehr ist die erste Einnahmequelle unserer Gegend: das touristische Angebot hat sich entsprechend entwickelt. Sierre/Siders liegt nur 15 Km von der weltberühmten Ski-Station "Crans-Montana", wo die Ski-Weltmeisterschaften vor etwa 10 Jahren stattgefunden haben. Dort werden Sie einen mit 18 Löchern ausgestatteten Golfplatz finden, wo regelmässig Weltmeisterschaften stattfinden. Weltberühmte Künstler und Politiker sind anzutreffen. Das Alpenpanorama ist unvergesslich. Es dort sogar ein Casino.

Siders, ist eine kleine Stadt im Süden der Schweiz von circa 17'000 Einwohnern die ungefähr 15 km weit von unserer Kantonshauptstadt Sion/Sitten entfernt liegt, welche eine ehemalige mittelalterliche Burg besitzt. Wir wohnen daher ziemlich ruhig umgeben von Gärten und Reben.

Wir wohnen auch nicht weit weg von Zermatt dem berühmten Touristendorf, welches am Fusse des Matterhorns liegt. Auch Lausanne, Genf, Bern und Freiburg erreichen sie mit dem Zug oder der Autobahn in ungefähr 1-2Std.

Die Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sind unaufzählbar. Im Sommer sind vor allem die Bergwanderungen zu empfehlen. Es gibt tausende Wanderwege, die zu herrlichen Berghütten führen.
Zwei Thermalbäder, Leukerbad und Brigerbad sind in weniger als einer Autostunde zu erreichen. Auch in Siders gibt es ausgezeichnete Bademöglichkeiten: einen kleinen See (der Gerundensee) und das Hallenbad.
Obwohl die Mehrheit der Einwohner Französisch spricht, gibt es trotzdem 15 %, die Schweizerdeutsch als Muttersprache angeben.

Unsere Familie
Patrick ist pensionierter Primarlehrer und ich bin Hausfrau/Ludothekarin/Uebersetzerin. Emmanuel ist 32 Jahre alt, Daniel 30, Jonas 26 und Lea 23 Jahre alt.

We live in the middle of the Alp, in the Wallis, in Switzerland, where it's easy to reach big city's like Geneva, Lausanne or Berne and mountains (Zermatt, Verbier, Crans-Montana) within a short time. If we have got your interest, maybe give a look at our ad.

Here some more details about our home and family:
Patrick, 65, is a retired teacher at the elementary school. Dominique, 59, is staying at home and does translations for a computer firm from German to French.
Emmanuel 32, Daniel 30, Jonas 26 and Lea 23 are working and studying all over Switzerland.

Our home is, as you see on the pictures, three stairs high.

As our town is very small, you'll find very easily the center with the shops. At the station there is also a tourist information in case you need more informations. But I have 2 books (in French only, sorry) and 2 folders full of things you can do if you won't go hiking!!

At 15 min. north there is Crans-Montana with his well-known Golf-Club. At 40 min. east you can admire the Matterhorn in Zermatt or in 30 min. in Leukerbad have a warm bath in the different swimming-pools of the Burgerbad. There are two nice castels in Sion, from where you have a nice visibility of the Wallis east and west. In Sion there is every Friday morning a market with typical food and other Walliser specialties.
At the Chateau Villa there is a Wine-bar, you can also eat Raclette here (the typical Walliser food) which will surely be something to do with the children!!
It's melted cheese with potatoes. To drink there you can try a lot of different wines.

We stay also only one hour from Lausanne, two from Geneva, so if you would like to see this two towns on the lake of Geneva, the highway will bring you there in the shortest time.

Voici quelques compléments d'information qui vous permettront de mieux connaitre notre offre.
NOTRE FAMILLE
Patrick est enseignant à la retraite, Dominique travail à la ludothèque de Sierre. Enfants: Emmanuel 32, Daniel 30, Jonas 26 et Lea 23 ans.

INFORMATIONS GENERALES
Nous habitons au sud de la Suisse, au coeur des Alpes, dans la vallée du Rhône. L'autoroute vous conduit aux portes de notre ville. Notre canton, le Valais, vit essentiellement du tourisme, c'est dire que votre soif de voir et de connaitre sera assouvie sans difficulté. Nous sommes à 15 km de la station de Crans-Montana qui a accueilli les championnats du monde de ski il y a peu. Elle possède un golf 18 trous sur lequel se découlent des compétitions de niveau mondial, ainsi qu'un casino. Elle attire beaucoup de personnalités du milieu artistique et politique. Ce site jouit d'une vue imprenable sur les Alpes.

Sierre, petite cité tranquille (17 000 ha) se trouve 15 km de Sion, la capital de notre canton. Nous sommes une quarantaine de km de Zermatt, la station au pied du Cervin. Les possibilités d'excursion (refuges d'altitude) et de pratiquer la haute montagne sont innombrables. Les stations thermales de Loêche-les-Bains et de Brigerbad se trouvent moins d'une heure de route.
A Sierre même, vous pourrez vous baigner dans un lac très agréable ou la piscine communale(lac de Géronde 300m). Si elle est composée surtout de francophones, notre ville compte aussi une communautée alémanique importante (15% de la population).

NOTRE MAISON
L'été il est très agréable de manger ou de passer ses soirs sur la terrasse à l‘air, entouré de verdures. Vous disposez de 2 places de parc devant notre maison comprenant

Sierre possède deux cinémas et l'offre culturelle y est attrayante (festival de musique classique Sion et ailleurs, expositions de peinture, soirées folkloriques, musées...).

De nombreuses possibilités pour les enfants
Pour les jeunes et moins jeunes, de nombreuses attractions sont envisageables: circuit vélo sur les berges du Rhôe, fréquentation du parc d'attraction Acquaparc [un des plus grand parc d'attractions de Suisse] au Bouveret (100 km), labyrinthe aventure, toboggans du lac de Géronde, pistes de skate, parc aventure Vercorin (10km) et Aigle (80km), visite de gorges, réserve naturelle, bois de Finges (la plus riche pinède d'Europe) avec sentier nature, sentier planêtaire St-Luc, promenade le long des bisses (très anciens canaux pour amener l'eau jusqu'aux champs), moulins de St-Luc, lac souterrain de St-Léonard, barrage de la Gde-Dixence(le plus haut d'Europe), zoo des Marécottes...

Ecco qualche informazione supplementare che vi permettera di conoscere meglio la nostra offerta :

Nostra famiglia
Abbiamo quattro bambini: Lea 23, Jonas 26, Daniel 30 e Emmanuel 32 anni. Loro sono studenti o lavorano e vivono lontano. Patrick e insegnante pensionato e Dominique lavora in ludoteca.

Nostra città
Noi abitiamo a sud della svizzera, nel cuore delle Alpi, nella valle del Rhône. L'autostrada vi conduce quasi fino alle porte della nostra città (si viaggi bene da Genova-Milano-Domodossola-Sempione-Briga-Sierre in 4 ore).
Il nostro cantone, il Vallese, vive essenzialmente di turismo, cose la vostra sete di conoscere sarà ben soddisfatta.
Noi siamo a 15 km della stazione di Crans-Montana che ha accolto I campionati del mondo di sci da poco. Ha anche un golf con 18 buchi dove si fanno concorsi di livello mondiale. Attira molta gente del mondo artistico e politica. Quest'inverno hanno aperto anche un Casino.

Ha anche una bellissima vista sulle alpe.
Sierre, con 17'000 abitanti, si trova a 15 km da Sion, nostro capoluogo.
Siamo a 40 km di Zermatt, il villaggio ai piedi del Cervino. Le possibilità di fare delle escursioni e di praticare la alta montagna sono innumerevoli.
Le stazioni termali di Leukerbad e di Brigerbad si trovano a mezzora di macchina. A Sierre anche voi potete fare il bagno molto piacevolmente al lago di "Géronde" o alla piscina communale.
A Sierre ci sono due cinema e la città organisa molti programmi culturali durante l'estate.

In caso che volete visitare Lausanne, Ginevra... l'autostrada vi conduce gli fra 1 ora. Anche la Francia non e molto lontana (1 ora e mezzo).
