Modern apartment in Amsterdam, we've recently moved house - so not available until we can post the new details!
15 minute bike ride or 7 minutes on the train/metro to the famous Amsterdam canal and museum area in the city centre. We have a modern flat with lift and garage near the Amstel train station. The living/dining room with enclosed balcony is on the west side with a view of the Amstel River. Our shopping street, Rijnstraat, is a 5 minute walk away. This is a great location for Amsterdam or as a basis to visit other places by train or car. Bike south and you are soon outside Amsterdam with the beautiful windmills and pasturelands.
Clean and tidy, well organized flat. Push button entrance doors on the ground floor, and large doorways in the flat make this flat easier for those with walking difficulties.
One bedroom with a 2 person bed; a second bedroom/study where we can place a single bed if needed.
20 minutes by train to Schiphol airport.

About the neighborhood
This modern building and the others nearby were built in '1990s; opposite us - across the river is the well-known Berlage Plan area built in the 1920's by architects of the Amsterdam School. A true mix of old and new. The shopping street has 3 large supermarkets and other smaller shops.
We look out at the Amstel and enjoy the city view - which becomes a green oasis in the summer. The view from the rooftop is phenomenal.
We have friendly quiet neighbors. This is a safe area; an evening walk is not a problem.
With the windows open you hear the sounds of the city, but this is a quiet area on a dead-end street.
Train/metro/bus station is an 3-minute walk away, so quite convenient for visiting other areas of the city or longer day trips.
