A detached family house on the outskirts of Wrexham.
Our house is a 20 minute walk from Wrexham town centre, and is just off Chester Road where you can catch the Number 1 bus every 10 minutes, either into town or in the opposite direction all the way to Chester. We are also just up the road from the now famous Wrexham football stadium, the STOK Racecourse, and on a Saturday afternoon, you can hear the crowd roaring from our garden. We are on a corner plot surrounded by a tall thick hedge. The back garden is south facing and is sheltered by some lovely trees. Wrexham is on the doorstep of some wonderful places to visit such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the Clwydian Hills and the beautiful town of Llangollen, and the city of Chester with its Roman ruins and fantastic zoo. Wrexham is such a great location for days out to the Snowdonia mountains, to Conway castle and Llandudno, and also city visits to Liverpool, Manchester, Shrewsbury and Birmingham.
Our house is a traditional 1930s house, with lots of character. We have recently extended the kitchen at the back and we now have a large open plan kitchen diner which opens into the garden. We now need to finish the outside of the house and hope to complete the patio at the back in the next few months.

We had an excellent exchange experience with Katie and her lovely home. She contacted us initially and we were happy to exchange with her as Bristol/ Bath is a great area to explore. As soon as we arrived at her home, we realised we would be very happy there. It was like arriving at a holiday home: a welcome letter and edible treats to enjoy as soon as we arrived. The house was spotless and perfect for relaxation. She had thought of everything: instructions how appliances worked, with photos to make it easier; ideas of what to visit and how to get to places. It was a house which was easy to clean on our departure, and Katie had left everything necessary in one place to make things easier. Katie is extremely organised, and I have picked up several tips from her home. Regarding her stay at our home, we were very grateful to Katie for looking after our cat Milo, and he seemed to have had a wonderful time. Katie left our home in pristine condition. Katie is an experienced exchanger and I have learnt a lot from her, how to improve exchanges going forward.
I had a wonderful stay in Wrexham for the week where I explored the near by area and north Wales, and enjoyed relaxing at Mair and families warm home with Milo the cat. Mair was great at communicating before, during and after the home exchange, keeping me in the loop about any changes. Overall it was a lovely stay and a brilliant exchange.
Good location, extremely well appointed and comfortable. Guests looked after ours well. Suggestions for visits and walks excellent. Note you drive slowly in Wales.
