As you can see on the map, our house is situated in the village of Bauschlott, very calm.
As the region is rather flat, with only very gentle hills, hiking or also biking is easy.
Very famous there is the neo-classical Bauschlott Castle, summer residence of the Grand Dukes of Baden in the 19th century, the neo-classical Protestant Bauschlott Church, built in 1838 by Heinrich Hübsch, the architect of the westwork of Speyer Cathedral, and dozens of half-timbered houses on the unique village green of Bauschlott.
All around you can find old castles, e.g. at Sulzfeld in the Kraichgau to the east, or Trifels, Berwartstein, and Hambach Castle in western direction, in the Palatinate, the Baroque palace and gardens of Schwetzingen, and of course Heidelberg Castle and many more along the Neckar Valley.
Black Forest begins only 15 km southwards.

Johanna is a teacher at a christian private school at Mühlacker, and I, Holger, am a theologist and pastor at the parishes of Stutensee-Staffort and Bruchsal-Büchenau, and of Weingarten / Baden.
We are married since nearly three years and like travelling together.
My four grown-up children are living otherwhere and like to travel on their own, sometimes may be some also with us.
Johanna ist Lehrerin an einer Christlichen Privatschule in Mühlacker, und ich, Holger, bin Pfarrer in den Gemeinde Staffort-Büchenau und Weingarten / Baden.
Wir sind jung verheiratet und verreisen gerne zu zweit.
Meine vier erwachsenen Kinder leben außer Haus unds verreisen in aller Regel auf eigene Faust, bisweilen auch welche mit uns.
