Comfortable, single-story house close to Brest

Our home is located in Plabennec, close to Brest in Brittany, France. It is a comfortable, single-story house of 110 m². It features two bedrooms with double beds and a study with a single bed, which can be converted into a double (though it would leave limited space in the study). The house includes a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet, plus a separate toilet in the entrance. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we have both a washing machine and a dryer.

The living area opens onto a large south-facing terrace with a gas barbecue, perfect for enjoying sunny days. The living room itself is bright and airy, with large windows that let in plenty of light. We also have two cats which prefer the comfort of our sofa.

For your convenience, we will leave our car, which is equipped with two child seats if needed.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy around our home. If you are a fan of water sports, there are several clubs in the Brest harbor and along the Finistère coast where you can partake in various nautical activities.

We recommend discovering the islands and their lighthouse as they each have their personality and history like the isle of Batz or the isle of Sein.

If you want to stay on a shore, you can visit Douarnenez, Hamlet of Meneham, the Bay of Morlaix with its Bull’s Castle or Concarneau with their beach around. More inland, you have Monts d’Arée, the highest point of view in Brittany, and you can discover the forest of Huelgoat with its chaos rocks and on a massive one which you can move with a finger.

There are also “small towns of character” to visit which kept their historic “flavor,” you cannot have more picturesque than them.

Obviously, there are lot of restaurants around each spot to eat. We love Brittany because we can disconnect and enjoy nature with our loved ones whenever we want.

I hope I have helped you to see better how to travel and explore the area.
