About the neighborhood

Our house is situated just outside the historic centre of Brielle. We live on the edge of a very dynamic area.
30 Kilometers east of Brielle is Rotterdam with it's harbours, industries and architectural highlights. The city made it to the top 10 of The New York Times’ list of 52 Best Places to Go in 2014/15!
To the south there is beauty and silence: Zeeland with the world famous Delta Works, beautiful beaches and historic cities like Zierikzee and Middelburg.
A few kilometers west are the dunes of Voorne with a unique flora... wonderful walking and biking area (Oostvoorne has an 11 km MB-trail).
The Maasvlakte is the place to go to see the really big ships. Here you can also find wonderful beaches for kite surfing, hiking or swimming.

Cities as Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague, Haarlem and Utrecht are within one hour drive.

Great for biking! Lanes everywhere and... no hills! We have 4 bikes (2x e-bike).

Uitstekend contact met Jaap en Fieke. Fijn huis om een tijdje te verblijven, van alle gemakken voorzien! En... eindelijk eens goede fietsen. De foto's en beschrijving van huis en omgeving op de Intervac site geven een goed beeld van wat je kan verwachten.
