Our home is a three bedroom, 2 and a half bath two story townhouse condominium in the country at the south edge of Burlington,Vermont, adjacent to bike and hiking trails that go to Lake Champlain, University of Vermont and Burlington, or in the other direction, into the country and parks that overlook the Green Mountains. These trails provide miles of immediately accessible recreation.
On the main floor, our home has an enclosed office space, half bath, mudroom with coat closets, front foyer, and a large open concept kitchen, dining area and living room with a gas fireplace. Large windows bring in morning sun and overlook a patio and wild area and pond below. Upstairs includes a master bedroom en suite, two additional bedrooms, a second full bath and laundry room and large storage area. The house in centrally air conditioned. Our home's immediate environs are partially wooded with a pond, wading and song birds and wildlife.
Burlington is Vermont's largest city and yet is small and walkable, with a lively center, beautiful Lake Champlain and hills rising to the east with views of the Green Mountains and the Appalachians and Adirondack Park to the west. Burlington downtown includes pedestrian Church Street filled with restaurants, shops, galleries and live performances. It's a popular destination with visitors from all over the world, with the ECHO Leahy Center and walking paths on the lake.
We are both attorneys and have had many happy house exchanges - both international and domestic - with references available. Our children are grown and have their own homes. We look forward to inquiries for exchanges to any country, including within New England, Eastern Canada and New York City for shorter visits, and at any time.
We also have a condominium in southwest Florida near Sanibel Island that may be included in some exchanges. For this reason, it is also possible to do non-simultaneous exchanges. Photos of the three bedroom golf villa there available upon request.
Our neighbors and local friends have been supportive to our Intervac guests during previous exchanges.

Our home is in a neighborhood off Spear Street and Songbird Road, just south of the University of Vermont and convenient to the country south of Burlington, including walking and biking trails, parks, lake-side venues and golf courses. Downtown Burlington can be accessed in minutes by car or by bicycle. Our neighborhood is called Heatherfield, and it is design controlled. We are also close to the interstate so that driving to other parts of Vermont and southern Quebec, including Montreal is easy. The Burlington area has many lively restaurants, shops, galleries and other venues, including Farmers' Markets.

We have five adult children who have their own homes with their spouses and partners, and we are blessed to have three grandchildren. Typically, we travel on our own. If we were to invite any of our children or another couple, we would seek the permission of our host. Our home is ideal for family gatherings and is both elegant and informal.
