Beautiful apartment in a prime location near Laugardalur, Reykjavík
We are also happy to offer a second home for exchange – a cozy and well-located two-bedroom apartment in Reykjavík. The apartment is situated in one of the best areas of the city, close to the city center and within easy walking distance of Kringlan shopping mall, as well as cafés, bakeries, and public transport. It’s a perfect base for exploring Reykjavík while enjoying a quiet and comfortable neighborhood.
Please note that our listing was mistakenly marked as including a car exchange. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a car exchange. We are very happy to arrange a home exchange only. Thank you for your understanding.
The apartment includes a private balcony and convenient parking, making your stay both comfortable and easy. It will be available from October 7th to October 20th. A direct exchange is not necessary, and we are very open to non-simultaneous exchanges
The apartment is on the first floor of a three-story building (the apartment is on the middle floor. The apartment is 95 m2 with two bedrooms. One room has a double bed 180 cm and the other room has a 120 cm bed. We also have a travel bed if requested. The living rooms are two, other with sofa, armchairs and TV, while the other has a dining table. Kitchen with table and chairs. Bathroom with shower. The laundry room is in the basement of the building with a washing machine and dryer. Private parking. We can offer two e-bike.

The apartment is located in a quiet and family-friendly neighborhood on a peaceful street. As a rear-facing property, it offers a calm and private setting, with a south-facing balcony and access to a garden.
The area is ideal for outdoor activities, with several playgrounds nearby and the beautiful Laugardalur just a short walk away. Within 500 meters, you will find Laugardalslaug, one of Reykjavík’s most popular geothermal swimming pools. The Reykjavík Family Park and Zoo is also close by, along with walking paths, green spaces, and various recreational facilities.
At the end of the street, there is a small service center with a supermarket, a bakery, a café, and an ice cream shop.
The city center of Reykjavík is only 2.7 km away and is easy to reach both on foot and by bike. There are also excellent public transport connections nearby.

Experienced, active and reliable couple
We are a couple in our late 50s with two grown-up twins (31 years old) and two grandchildren.
We have completed four exchanges with Intervac and have had very positive experiences. We are responsible, tidy, and respectful people who take good care of our home and others’.
We enjoy an active lifestyle and love outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing. We are also interested in culture and enjoy reading.
We have a cat who is used to being outdoors, but it is not necessary for guests to take care of her, as she can stay elsewhere if preferred. We are also happy to take care of pets during an exchange.
