Modern house close to nature and Frankfurt
Hej and welcome to our exchange offer!
We (Sebastian, Svenja, Benjamin, Clara and Greta) are looking forward to exchange our future house in Hofheim, close to Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Mainz with you!!!
Our house exchanges:
We have exchanged home more that 15 times+ by now, Sebastian comes from a house exchange family and has exchanged home more than 25 times times in the past (Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, USA, Canada, Switzerland), so we call ourselves experienced home exchangers.
Our new house:
We have bought a house close to the forest and public transportation. It is on an 800 sqm property and has 3 floors, each having its own bedrooms and bathrooms (incl. showers). The attic has air conditioning. Please see our pictures. We have moved in end of May 2019.
Our village Lorsbach:
Lorsbach belongs to the city of Hofheim and has approx. 2900 inhabitants. It has a bakery, gas station, post office, pharmacy and a small kiosk where you can get everything you need. Lorsbach is 3 km per foot or car and 1 train station away from Hofheim.
Our city Hofheim:
Hofheim is a modern city with 40.000 citizens on the edge of the uplands Taunus, directly connected to Frankfurt, Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt Airport (but no aircraft noise- that´s why we moved here!). Hofheim has several events during the year from an ice scating arena in the winter to open air concerts in the summer.
Therefore Hofheim is very popular among young families and the older generation who are looking for an escape from the big cities, but want close connection to them. Hofheim has all kinds of good restaurants from A(ustrian) food - Z(irndorfer) beer.

Wiesbaden: Wiesbadener Weinwoche (August)- the longest wine bar of the world
Frankfurt: Mainfest and Museumuferfest (August) - public festival in Frankfurt
Rheingau: Rheingau Muski Festival (June-Sept) - one of the biggest European music festivals, 170 concerts
Hofheims surroundings:
Besides the bigger cities Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden, you can find the Taunus (hiking and biking area), the Rheingau (wine-growing region) and the rivers Rhein and Main within 20-30 min.

- North: Cologne, Dusseldorf and the Ruhr area (2h), Hamburg (5h)
- South: Heidelberg and Mannheim (1h), Stuttgart (2h), Black Forrest (3h), Munich (4h)

O okolicy
Hofheim-Lorsbach (2.800 inhabitants) is a district of Hofheim (40.000 inhabitants) and close to the forest and hills of the Taunus (Feldberg about 880m). Lorsbach is directly connected to trains to Frankfurt (23 min.) to main station and 42 to airport).
Hofheim is located close Frankfurt and to the Taunus, which are hills with forests and a recovery area. We are very well connected to public transportation so you would easily be able to take trains to further destinations if you wish.
Hofheim is located centrally in Germany. North you will find Cologne, Dusseldorf and the Ruhr area, south Heidelberg, Mannheim and Stuttgart, east Nuremberg, all within 2 hours drive.

La casa es preciosa, molt ben equipada i amb les instalacions noves. La familia ha sigut molt atenta i han mostrat interes i preocupacio per nosaltres durant l'intercanvi, molt amables! Seriosos i responsables!!

Sebastian (47) is working as a manager for a Swedish bank in Germany.
Svenja (42) is working for a clothing company.
Benjamin (14), Clara (13) and Greta (10) are going to school.
Raja (5) dog, Kleiner Muensterlaender will be staying elsewhere for long-distance exchanges, otherwise we will take her with us.
