Within walking distance of the romantic Vienna Woods, our three-bedroom apartment (approx. 100 sq. meters/1100 sq. feet) in Vienna's stress-free 14th District, consists of a spacious living/dining room, a master bedroom with an emperor-sized double bed, two kids' bedrooms, as well as a cosy and efficient kitchen with pantry, bathroom with bathtub and washing machine, and separate WC. The 3,3 m (11') high ceilings are typical of the period the building was constructed in around the turn of the 19th century. All windows overlook the surrounding garden with its old trees, ensuring that the apartment remains pleasantly cool even in a hot summer. The front garden is open for general use and features a trampoline and a sandbox.

Nah am Wienerwald, im 14. Wiener Bezirk, befindet sich unsere rund 100 m2 große Wohnung mit großzügigem Wohn-und Esszimmer, einem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und zwei kleinen Kinderzimmern, Küche mit Speisekammer, WC, Bad mit Badewanne und Waschmaschine. Das Haus wurde ca. 1910 erbaut, die Räume sind 3,3m hoch, von allen Fenster sieht man in den dicht mit Bäumen bewachsenen Garten, Gartenbenützung möglich (Trampolin).

About the neighborhood

We live in "Hütteldorf", long ago a village of its own and now part of Vienna's green 14th District west of the city centre, which is still very easy to reach by public transport. The bus to the underground station stops outside the garden gate (though you could as easily walk to the nearest underground stop in 15 min) and there is also a tramway stop 5 min. walk away, on a line that will take you straight to the centre without the need to change - a trip of about 30 min.
The surrounding area features several large parks, playgrounds, and two public swimming pools. Originally conceived as an area of villas and genteel apartments for well-off families, there are also a number of architectural landmarks of the Viennese fin-de-siecle in the vicinity, such as Otto Wagner's famous Jugenstil church. Schönbrunn Palace and the attached Zoo are about 25 min away by public transport.

Wir leben in Hütteldorf, einem grünen Außenbezirk von Wien mit sehr guter Verkehrsanbindung. Es gibt in der Nähe viele Parks und sehr große Spielplätze. Die Busstation ist 1 Minute Fußweg vom Haus entfernt, die Straßenbahnstation 5 Minuten. Mit der Straßenbahn kommen Sie in 30 Minuten ins Zentrum. Schloß Schönbrunn ist ca. 20 Minuten (U-Bahn) entfernt. In Gehdistanz zur Wohnung befindet sich die Ernst Fuchs-Villa (Museum, 10 Minuten Fußweg) und die Otto Wagner-Kirche (Jugendstil) in 25 Minuten Entfernung zu Fuß.

Das Strandhaus auf Menorca hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Es ist sehr geräumig, ganz neu eingerichtet und der traumhafte Strand ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Joan hat uns mit allen Informationen versorgt und viele gute Tipps auch während unseres Aufenthalts per sms gegeben. Der Austausch mit ihm und seiner Familie war sehr herzlich.

Elisabeth fue muy amable durante todo el tiempo del intercambio. La comunicación fue muy fluida y siempre nos envió recomendaciones sobre sitios para visitar o para comer. La casa se encuentra en una zona muy tranquila de Viena, aunque algo alejada del centro. No obstante, está bien comunicada con el centro de la ciudad mediante tramvía. A pesar de ser una casa antigua, la casa es bastante grande y luminosa. El único punto que habría que mejorar es la ducha y el sistema de agua caliente.
