A large and lovely apartment in La ROCHELLE (FRANCE)
Our apartment is located in a quiet part of this old city, but close to the old central market, the port and the beach.
From its huge living-room (40m2) and small balcony, with a lovely view on La Rochelle's roofs and some of its famous towers.
The kitchen/salle à manger is large and we benefit of the same view. The living-room is huge, over 40m2, with a lovey small balcony. In the living-room : 1 double-bed sofa and 1 single bed.
There are 2 bed-rooms : 1 very big room includes a matrimonial bed and a "petit salon", and its own private bathroom and toilets.
1 with 2 beds and bathroom and second toilets. There is also a big buanderie.

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette belle maison bleue de Sada. Nous savions que cette ex maison de pêcheur était sur 4 niveaux mais avons été très agréablement surpris pièces très vastes et escalier bien sécurisé pièces très vastes, ameublement et décoration très réussie. De plus Sada est un port et station touristique sur un très beau site. Et quel plaisir d'échanger avec Amaia et sa famille si sympathique !

We had two lovely weeks in La Rochelle and Micheline was a very appreciated host. We had a friendly and stimulating conversation before, during and after the exchange. We highly recommend an exchange with Micheline and her spacious and special apartment.
This Sweedish family is a lovely one and after our home exchange we are still exchanging mails because we nearly become friends. I choose to welcome them on their arrival in La Rochelle one evening before leaving and travelling to their place in Saltsjöbaden, near Stockholm and we spent some nice hours together. Then in Saltsjöbaden we find the spot (30mns regular bus from Stockholm) and their flat extra-ordinary beautiful and pleasant. Yes their home is accurately represented on the site: very bright and comfortable flat with marvelous top floor with huge "salon" and very large balcony with view on the Baltic sea and also the green landscape all around. Both Saltsjöbaden and Stockholm are very enjoyable place : for nature and walkings in Saltsjöbaden which is a small marina - where you can also go on a ferry to the very wild and nice island of Namedö - For nature, walkings, ferries to many islands of the archipelago, and a great many of very rich museums and places of interest in Stockholm. I highly recommend both the place and this home. When I was back in my flat in La Rochelle, I found all the place very clean and in order. And this Sweedish family also take great care of the few flowers on my balcony!

We are retired French people and now live either in Paris or in La Rochelle.(2h30 or 3h on tgv train).
We used to work as social worker, book-keeper, and documentalist and are still very interested in people, books and museums and also classical music.
But we also like to walk in countryside and discover paths, landscape and people... ; and also to swim and observe sea, sun, sky ... and discover other places mailnly in Europe - but why not in America!
We prefer to stay and travel in places where we can just walk and use public transport.
