We live between Christchurch, a pretty Priory town and Bournemouth, a popular seaside destination.
Within 15 minutes walk- beaches, local shops, restaurants and coffee shops, parks.
Within 15 minutes drive - Christchurch Priory and Red House Museum, Bournemouth and Russell Coates Museum, Mudeford Quay, Hengistbury Head, New Forest.
Less than an hours driving- Poole harbour, Brownsea Island, Isle of Wight, Lymington, Lyndhurst, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Winchester, Swanage, Jurassic Coast.
Less than two hours drive- Windsor, Weymouth, Legoland, Kew Gardens, Hampden Court, Portsmouth historic Dockyards, Oxford, Bath.
We are fifteen minutes walk from the railway station where you can catch trains to Southampton, Salisbury, Winchester and London.

Excellent exchange. Paul and Cristina were friendly and helpful before and during the exchange. We video called twice before travelling which was lovely. Their home is in a beautiful and peaceful area of Switzerland near some stunning lakeside towns. The house is large and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. We spent many evenings on the patio enjoying the tranquility of the surrounding countryside. We were given a lot of helpful tips, especially about visiting Milan on the train, ensuring all went smoothly on an unforgettable trip to see La Scala,” The Last Supper” and Duomo. We were unable to meet Anne and Tony. However, we kept in touch by email and phone and they were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved staying in their beautiful, spacious home which had a spectacular sea view. We had everything we could possibly need and plenty of advice about places to see in the area. Tynmouth has plenty to offer, is in easy walking distance and has a good variety of shops and places to eat. There are many interesting places to visit nearby. Our favourites were Shaldon ( by ferry), Dawlish, Exeter and Pennywell Farm. We all had a wonderful holiday and made many happy memories of relaxing and chatting in the kitchen in front of that amazing view!
We had a most successful autumn exchange with Judith and Paul. Their home was warm and comfortable and very much as described. It was in a great location, quietly situated but a short walk from loads of useful shops and from the beach and very close to a handy bus route. We enjoyed the easy access to Bournemouth, Christchurch, the coast in general, the New Forest and slightly further afield to the splendid Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth (where we cannot recommend the Mary Rose exhibition highly enough). If we hadn’t already known Winchester and Salisbury well we would have been exploring those too. Peppa Pig World needs a small mention too, our 6 and 4 year-old granddaughters loved it. We had very friendly and open communications and especially enjoyed sharing WhatsApp pictures and messages in the course of our exchange. It is one of our favourite parts of swapping that we get to know and become on friendly terms with like-minded people. We would highly recommend others to exchange, at any time of year. Thank you Judith and Paul!

We were members back in the days when a catalogue dropped through your letterbox and we actually wrote letters to each other!
We enjoyed our Intervac holidays when our children were small. Now that we are retired we want to renew and start enjoying new places and experiences. Our particular interests are science, the arts and history.
Our son lives in Helsinki and our daughter lives in Bristol. We have three grandchildren aged 11,6 and 2. Occasionally, we may ask to bring one of our children and their family on an exchange.
