Our Home

We are a family of three living in a welcoming two-storey house with a large garden. Surrounded by forests and meadows, our home is a peaceful place where you can relax, enjoy the fresh air and experience the beauty of the Carinthian countryside.

Families with children are especially welcome. Our garden has a wonderful treehouse as well as plenty of toys for children to enjoy. While the children play and explore outside, their parents can relax in the quiet natural surroundings.

Your children are very welcome to make full use of our child’s toys! ;)

Lakes, Castles and Cultural Attractions

Schloss Thurnhof is located right next to our home, few minutes walking. Although the castle is privately owned, taking a walk there is highly recommended. The castle is connected to an interesting local story about a princess and a historic celebration that continues to be held in our village today.

Only about five minutes away is Schloss Straßburg, with its wildlife garden and herb park. Schloss Albeck in Sirnitz, approximately ten minutes away, regularly hosts cultural performances, events and exhibitions.

Another important destination is the historic Gurk Cathedral. Visitors can discover the tomb of Saint Hemma, the Gurk Treasury and the famous healing water. Gurk is one of Austria’s best-known pilgrimage destinations and is well worth visiting for its history, atmosphere and impressive architecture.

A Wonderful Destination for Families

There is plenty for visitors of every age to enjoy. The Ossiacher See is especially popular with families and offers a climbing forest, the Gerlitzen adventure mountain and relaxing boat trips across the lake.

Our home is an ideal starting point for discovering Carinthia’s lakes, mountains, castles and cultural treasures. After an exciting day of sightseeing, you can return to the peace of the countryside and enjoy our spacious garden.
