Beautiful big flat in the heart of Munich with a sunny rooftop terrace
We live in the middle of Munich, near the main station. The neighborhood is lively and international, but the apartment itself is located in a quiet corner, in an apartment building, on the 5th and 6th floor. It has 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate WC, a balcony and a terrace. There is a large kitchen which is well equipped: dish washer, stove and oven, microwave, blender, KitchenAid and more. Just around the corner there are many greengrocers, restaurants and supermarkets.
Due to the proximity to Munich main station (5 minutes walk), the apartment is an ideal starting point for trips to the mountains. And you can explore Munich itself by foot from here. The subway is only a 1-minute-walk away, and a bus station is within a 3-minute walking distance, too. If you travel by car, we can try to get a spot in the garage under our house.
The apartment is spacious and cozy and has a lot of plants (inside and outside), we would be happy if you take care of them during the stay. There is a TV in the living room and in one of the bedrooms. We have many books, most of them are in German, but there are also many in English. We can give tips for things to do in Munich and the surrounding area and recommend restaurants etc.

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
The area is lively and international. The apartment itself is at the quiet end of an one-way street. Many people here say that our street is the "best" street of Munich because of the many many international restaurants and because of St. Paul, a huge church which thrones at the end of the street and is really beautiful in daylight and at night.
Munich main station is afoot 5 minutes away. There is a larger shopping mall 5 minutes by foot and small businesses all over Landwehrstraße: produce stores, bakeries, a dry cleaner, a pharmacy and more.
Nearest Airport: Munich Airport

A spacious and artsy flat where you‘ll feel right at home. And this corner of Berlin is full of cafés, restaurants, little shops and there are farmers markets and flea markets — so it‘s just perfect so spend some days or weeks here. We felt very welcomed and recommend this appartment and the family very warmly.
The house is an original from the 1870s and so you feel instantly like a local resident when you enter Annelets and Marcels home. The area is supernice, with lots of cafés, restaurants and shops — but without the touristy insanity of the inner boroughs of Amsterdam. We strolled through the streets or discovered the city by bike, went to museums (many are nearby) and enjoyed the little neighbourhood park a lot. We recommend a home exchange to Amsterdam and with Annelet and Marcel!
Susanne and Bastian were so welcoming, with local beer in the fridge, little chocolates on the table and a nice welcoming letter. The house was so beautiful, spacious, light, and full of plants and books. We were also very happy to have bikes. Munich is a great city for cycling.
A cosy apartment in the city center. The area is perfect for a Berlin vacation: lots of restaurants and cafés around, the big Volkspark Friedrichshain nearby and very good public transportation. We had a wonderful time here!

We are a family of four, with 2 children, 14 and 13 years old. We parents are journalists and have small businesses, the children go to school in the neighbourhood. We like to travel a lot, have already lived in the US for a year and spent some time in Australia. Our vacations are mostly spent in Europe, e.g. Denmark, France, Italy. But we're open to travel everywhere. We live without a car, so we are looking for destinations that are easy to reach by train or – if further away and not every year – by plane.
