A charming holiday home near the sea
Our holiday house is in Arenal d'en Castell, a holiday resort 20 km away from the island-capital of Mahon and 24 km from the airport. The main attraction of this area is the beach with it's horseshoe shape. The beach is 5 minutes away on foot from our house and is one of the most important beaches in Menorca. From Arenal d'en Castell you can also discover the rest of Menorca, but having a car is a must.
The house is our second home (we live in Alaior) and we spend most of the summer here, so the house is fully equipped and has all the conveniences: wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, chimney, etc.
As we are both teachers, we only travel during our school breaks, this is mainly Christmas, Easter and the summer break in July and August. Menorca is a very demanded place during the summer, but it can also be a great destination in the low season, to enjoy trekking or nature. We are open for any proposals.
Non-simultaneous exchanges: As this is our second home, we can move out of the house when necessary.

About the neighborhood
Arenal d'en Castell is a great location to relax in summer but it is also very well located if you want to discover the rest of Menorca. The resort has two parts, one where you can find hotels and which is more crowded and touristic, and the other where there are more villas and where local people usually spend the summer.
There are some supermarkets near our home where you can buy almost anything. On the other side of the resort, there are also many bars and restaurants.
Even though there is a bus that connects Arenal d'en Castell with Mahón and Alaior, it is highly recommended to have a car to move around.

A great large house with room for a family and nice play pool in the back. Waling distance to cafe and shop. Beach nearby in a lovely seaside village. Good place to explore menorca. Easy communication with host and seamless exchanged. Would have no hesitation in recommending the for echanges.

Das Strandhaus auf Menorca hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Es ist sehr geräumig, ganz neu eingerichtet und der traumhafte Strand ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Joan hat uns mit allen Informationen versorgt und viele gute Tipps auch während unseres Aufenthalts per sms gegeben. Der Austausch mit ihm und seiner Familie war sehr herzlich.
