A nice house in a charming seaside town, 20 miles north of Boston, 1 mile from ocean.

Well maintained tri-level house, yard and lawn, with large outdoor deck providing direct access with dining room. Beautiful landscaping with blooming gardens spring, summer and fall. All interior spaces have been updated including kitchen and bathrooms. Many miles of wooded paths nearby for hiking. Many restaurants for outdoor dining, in Manchester as well as in adjacent towns of Essex and Gloucester. The third bedroom has bunk beds most suitable for children.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Logan Airport, Boston MA - 20 miles

Manchester is a Town of about 5000 persons. The entire town is residential. Our home is less than a mile from the town center. The town includes an excellent and picturesque harbor as well as a beautiful beach. Town services include train to Boston (about a 45 minute ride). It is about a 2.5 hours drive to beautiful Mountains in New Hampshire.

Our home has very convenient access to the highway system.

About Our Family

Eileen and I are retired and enjoy travelling. We have had prior house swaps in Ireland and southern France, both of which were very positive experiences. Because we are retired we can be relatively flexible on travel times.

We have two daughters and four grand children, not part of this swap: One daughter lives about 10 minutes from our home and can be available to answer any questions if they arise..

Our first language is English. We can also communicate in French if spoken somewhat slowly.

Our prior house swaps have included a car, and we are definitely advocates of including a car in the swap. Our vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee suitable for transporting 5 persons. This vehicle includes a resident sticker that is needed for convenient parking at Manchester's "Singing Beach"
