Home in Bridge of Allan, the very centre of Scotland.
We live in a large Victorian house in the picturesque town of Bridge of Allan in Scotland. We are very close to Stirling, the ancient capital of Scotland, which boasts one of the most impressive castles in the UK.
We have lived here as our 18 year old son has grown up, and have made many friends in the area who have always made our house swap guests welcome. The house has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a number of other rooms which get used as play rooms, offices, dining room, and whatever they are needed for. There is a large safe garden, with loads of room for kids to play. We are pretty well equipped with kids essential, toys, bikes etc.
We are within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the rest of Scotland. From the front door you are in countryside in 5 minutes, and there is a golf course also within a 5 minute walk. We are about 20 minutes from the famous Gleneagles golf course, where the 2014 Ryder Cup was held.

About the neighborhood
We live in a quiet neighbourhood, on the edge of the countryside. The house backs on to woods, and there are wonderful walks a few minutes from the front door.
Bridge of Allan is a town of about 5000 inhabitants, linked closely to Stirling, the ancient capital Scotland.
We have excellent transport links by road and rail to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We are a family of three, Pilar, Peter and Oskar (aged 10).
Peter is now pretty much retired, which gives lots of time for golf, and other outdoor activities. He is also into things Scottish, country dancing and Robert Burns poetry.
Pilar come originally from Chile, and has spent most of her life in Norway. She runs an on-line magazine, working from home.
Oskar is a keen golfer and musician.
